"Notes from the Earth" ...the scent of vanilla and pumpkin fills the air and I look at the bits of leaves, straw and paper pulp. I think of the days that I walked thru the woods Listening to the "spirits" as they dance from limb to limb chatting, laughing and singing feeling sorry for those who mistake the rustle, as just the wind. I remember the crackle beneath my feet, as I walk the path of fallen leaves - red, orange, tan and gold and I come upon a field of cornstalks, stacked together like guardians of their fallen brethren and I hear the children laughing - for the only 'spirits' they know are of sugar, syrup and chocolates A strong wave of pumpkin awakens me from my reverie as I look upon the essences from plant, tree and fiber and I begin to share the stories the 'spirits' whispered... I begin my "Notes from the Earth" ONE WALL AT A TIME - Color and Comfort Through Art |
